Established in Cologne as a family company, Steinert now has over 200 employees, that are active globally via subsidiaries, joint ventures, and licensees, in Europe, Australia, Brazil, China, Japan and the USA. Excellent market knowledge, an innovative spirit, intensive customer relations, worldwide service and, certainly not least, the employees’ flexibility when faced with new challenges - these are the foundations of Steinert’s success.
BUSINESS DRIVER:
The Australian subsidiary - Steinert Australia - is a specialist in delivering separation technologies in both the resource recovery (waste) and mining industries, providing comprehensive services in customised design, application, manufacture, repair and commissioning of industrial magnetic separation and sensor sorting solutions. As a leader in several Global markets, Steinert offers an unrivalled and extensive product range to enhance the operations of Australia’s leading local and international mining and waste resource recovery projects.
Steinert Australia manufactures machinery primarily for use in the mining industry, for example for the removal of metal contaminants from coal. It manufactures machinery for ore sorting, beneficiation and tramp removal systems to increase product yield, improve concentrate quality, reduce operating costs and to boost process efficiencies.
Steinert Australia also is a major player in the waste industry with solutions for magnetic recovery of ferrous metals and valuable materials with Steinert sensor sorters, mostly in forms suitable for processing including iron, copper, aluminium, glass, paper and plastics. In the event that their recovery is not feasible from an economic or technical point of view, they can still be used as a source of residue-derived fuel (RDF) – as a CO² neutral alternative to fossil fuels. Success in utilising innovative sorting technologies to recover valuable materials hidden in refuse brings ecological and economic leadership.
SOLUTION DELIVERED:
